Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is a deeply integrated practice, as taught by Yogi Bhajan that combines the technology of breathing, sound and movement to release the tensions hold in humans – both physically, mentally and spiritually.

It works on a physical level by releasing and healing tensions, on a meditative level to clear the mind and to create new space in the mind and on an emotional level allowing our emotions to move and express themselves.

Kundalini is an experience and reaches directly to the heart. It activates the flow of energy and teaches you how to direct your energy in any situation to find balance.

Kundalini is the nerve of the soul that is coiled in 3.5 windings in the Muladara chakra (energy centre at the base of the spine). Kundal means the curl of the beloved.

It has no age, no gender and does not require flexibility. It is for everyone!

It builds solid foundations on earth and at the same time connects us and restores the memory that we are creatures of heaven, timeless and bright, when we grow our branches to connect with heaven and the universal self.

Kundalini works with the physical movement, the breath, the sound, the recite of mantras and the meditative mind to release and strengthen our vibration.

What are the benefits:

  • It peels the layers of ego – frees from the restrictions imposed by our ego.
  • Exercises the pituitary gland by balancing the secretion of hormones.
  • It works fears and anger through Kriya.
  • Builds support and security.
  • Deep relaxation through the structure of the lesson.
  • Develops the neutral mind to face the challenges of life with intelligence, endurance and integrity.
  • Builds a strong immune system
  • Strengthens the nervous and circulatory system.

We all have width and length! Kundalini adds height and posture. Kundalini aims to connect the mind – body – soul to a more spiritual experience with meditations, mantras and some postures.

Some of its key features.

Leverage

It leverages, that is, it aligns body-mind and soul. It quickly brings us face to face with the ego in order to clear the attachments and reveal the light of our soul.

Legacy

It is a practice that has been experienced and transmitted by enlightened souls for thousands of years. It is royal yoga, by King Janaka in India, a Raj yogi. Passed to Guru Ram Das and the Sikhs. It teaches and advocates humility, patience, discipline and service.

Genealogy

Kundalini is transmitted by enlightened souls for thousands of years. It’s a royal yoga, from King Janaka in India, a Raji yogi. Janaka passed it to Guru Ram Das and SiKh. Kundalini tradition teaches humbleness, patience, discipline and service.

Kriya

Kriya means action. In Kundalini yoga Kriya is a specific set of postures, breaths and sounds that work for a specific result.

Meditation

Meditation clears the mind, calms thoughts and helps to break free from insecurities and phobias. One of the reasons meditation is so necessary in our lives is to clear the field of our subconscious. The subconscious, when it remains stable and immobile, plays dirty games with the mind and complicates our daily lives. When our mind is taken care of, it works supportively in life. In Kundalini yoga we bring the subconscious mind to the surface, bake it and eat it!

Mantras

It is the creative projection of the mind. “Man” is the mind and “trang” is the wave or projection. The science of mantras is based on the fact that sound is a form of energy that has structure, power and a specific and predictable effect on our chakras and psyche. Mantras are formulas that change the patterns of the mind and the chemistry of the brain. We increase intuition and peace of mind and set in motion the vibrations within us. We can manage and overcome everything with sound! Every day that passes without sound is a lost day!
